Rangers' Michael Reed: Gets MiLB contract from Texas

Reed signed a minor-league contract Monday with the Rangers.

Reed slashed just .204/.313/.372 with four homers and five steals in 37 games (132 plate appearances) last year between the Triple-A affiliates of the Dodgers and Brewers. He turns 29 in April and has yet to appear in a major-league game.
