Pham signed a one-year, $7.5 million contract with the Reds on Wednesday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The Reds lost several key contributors during the offseason, but Pham will provide decent power and speed in 2022. Manager David Bell previously said that Jonathan India would serve as the leadoff hitter to begin the season, but Pham will offer a solid right-handed bat with a prominent spot in the lineup. He played 155 games for the Padres last year and will slot into the outfield along with Jake Fraley (illness), Nick Senzel and Tyler Naquin.
