The Rockies selected Criswell's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old right-hander will head to the big leagues for the first time after turning in a 6.24 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 83:28 K:BB over 57.2 innings with Albuquerque. He'll be joining the bullpen as a replacement for the injured Victor Vodnik (bicep) and will most likely be deployed in lower-leverage spots while he's up with the Rockies.
