Wang pitched a scoreless inning, striking out two en route to the win in Tuesday's comeback victory over the Nationals.
After giving up earned runs in three consecutive appearances, Wang has settled down considerably, not allowing a hit in his past three. He needed just 12 pitches to get through the inning before the Royals bats woke up against Jonathan Papelbon to give Wang his first MLB win since June 16, 2013-some 1,052 days. The 36-year-old has done an admirable job working in the back-end of the Royals' bullpen.
