Royals' MJ Melendez: Managing back tightness

Melendez was removed from Sunday's game against the Angels due to lower-back tightness.

Melendez clubbed a solo home run, his second of the season, during the opening frame Sunday, but he was lifted with the injury after the top of the fourth inning. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against the Diamondbacks.
