Hill left Wednesday's Grapefruit League win over the Phillies in the ninth inning due to a hamstring injury, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Manager A.J. Hinch said Thursday that Hill will be sidelined for a couple days as a precautionary measure after his early exit Wednesday. The 26-year-old has been competing to serve as the Tigers' fourth outfielder this spring, but it's not yet clear whether his injury will affect his availability to begin the regular season.
