The Twins optioned Helman to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Helman was called up on Sept. 1 but received just one start, going 3-for-8 at the plate during his brief first stint in the big leagues. Manuel Margot (adductor) returned from the injured list to replace Helman on the 28-man active roster.
