White Sox's Ryan Burr: Cleared for rehab assignment

Burr (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Since Burr has been on the shelf all season with a right shoulder strain, the White Sox will likely want to see him make at least two appearances for Charlotte before bringing him back from the 10-day injured list. The 27-year-old mostly served in a middle-relief role for Chicago in 2021, accruing a 2.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and three holds across 34 appearances.
