Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Returns to Cleveland lineup
Rocchio (leg) will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Tuesday's contest in Boston.
Rocchio departed Saturday's game against the Athletics and didn't play Sunday because of left leg tightness. He got an extra day of rest with the Guardians being idle Monday and is feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday.

Ezequiel Tovar SS | COL
Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Tovar is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Tovar started the previous three games but will receive a day off Tuesday after going 2-for-8 with a double, a stolen base and two runs during that span. Cole Carrigg is filling in at shortstop while Troy Johnston and Zac Veen pick up starts in the outfield.

Thomas Saggese SS | STL
Cardinals' Thomas Saggese: Settling into everyday role
Saggese will start at third base and will bat seventh in Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
Saggese was out of the lineup for the Cardinals' first two games upon his promotion in late August, but since then he's made 20 consecutive starts. He was swinging a hot bat initially after being recalled from Triple-A Memphis, but the 24-year-old has since cooled off, going 7-for-41 (.171) over his last 11 games.

Christian Koss SS | SF
Giants' Christian Koss: Doubles in victory
Koss went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 5-2 win over the Twins.
Koss lined a double to left field in the second inning before coming around to score. The 28-year-old had gone hitless in the Giants' previous three games, though he's been productive in September, batting .297 on the month with 15 runs scored, eight RBI, three home runs and three stolen bases in 69 plate appearances. Overall, he's slashing .230/.273/.326 with 27 runs scored, 12 RBI, five stolen bases and four long balls across 203 plate appearances this season.

Gunnar Henderson SS | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Goes yard in three-hit effort
Henderson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Henderson rocketed a solo homer in the sixth inning as part of a three-hit effort. The shortstop is slashing .254/.342/.418 with two homers, two RBI and six runs across 18 September games. It's been an overall disappointing campaign for the 25-year-old, as he's hitting .227/.310/.408 with 24 homers, 59 RBI, 88 runs and 10 stolen bases in 155 contests.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Pops rare home run Monday
Baez went 1-for-2 with a walk and a two-run home run in Monday's 9-2 win over the Nationals.
Baez hit just his third home run of the season and first since April 24 in the fourth inning of Monday's win. The veteran missed about three months of action between late April and late July due to an ankle sprain, and he then saw his role reduced later in the year as the Tigers turned their attention toward younger players. Baez is under contract in Detroit for one more year in 2027, but at this point, he looks like a high-paid backup to youngsters such as Kevin McGonigle, Max Clark and Hao-Yu Lee.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Giants' Willy Adames: Ramping up baseball activities
Adames (elbow) intends to take batting practice and participate in fielding work Monday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Giants have been eliminated from postseason contention, but it doesn't appear as though Adames, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 24 due to a left elbow sprain, has been shut down for the season just yet. Following Monday's matchup, San Francisco will have five games remaining, so it's possible the star shortstop will return before the end of the campaign in an effort to end the year on a high note. However, it's not clear if the club would be willing to activate Adames with nothing left to play for.
