76ers' Kyle Lowry: Sits out Thursday

Lowry (coach's decision) did not play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Knicks.

Veterans are often used sparingly in the preseason, and there's no injury to report here. Lowry agreed to a one-year, $3.63 million deal over the summer in what's expected to be the final year of his career. Heading into Opening Night, Lowry is presumably the favorite to win the backup role behind Tyrese Maxey.
