Middleton (ankle) is targeting a return to game action sometime after Thanksgiving Day, Shams Charania reported Tuesday on ESPN's "NBA Today" program.
For the first time in his long recovery process from bilateral ankle surgeries, Middleton took part in full 5-on-5 scrimmage work during Monday's practice. Charania relays that Middleton has been medically cleared to play, but the veteran wing is now working on his conditioning and will remain out for a few more games before making his 2024-25 debut. Middleton appeared in 55 games for the Bucks last season and averaged 15.1 points, 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 27.0 minutes per game. The 33-year-old will likely be subject to a minutes restriction once he's officially cleared to play and could see his playing time ramp up slowly.
