Smith notched six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and one steal over 20 minutes during Thursday's 107-101 loss to San Antonio.

Smith seems to be holding his own as Miami's backup point guard. Through five games, he's seeing 17.7 minutes per contest with averages of 5.8 points, 4.0 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 three-pointers on 48.0 percent shooting from the field.
