Mavericks' Brandon Knight: Contract expires

Knight didn't re-sign with the Mavericks on Saturday after his second 10-day contract expired, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.

The Mavericks only path to keep Knight on the roster for the playoffs would be to give him a guaranteed contract, so they will ultimately let the veteran guard head to free agency. He averaged 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 13.0 minutes in five games.
