The NBA announced Saturday that Washington has been suspended one game for his role in an on-court altercation in Friday's 98-89 win over the Suns.
Dallas' Naji Marshall (four games) and Phoenix's Jusuf Nurkic (three games) also received suspensions for their roles in the altercation, which happened after Nurkic was charged with an offensive foul with 9:02 remaining in third quarter Friday. Both Marshall and Nurkic exchanged strikes, prompting Washington to step in and push Nurkic to the floor. Washington will serve his suspension Saturday at Portland, meaning the next time he'll be available to take the floor will come Monday against the Kings.
