Nets' Ben Simmons: Downgraded to doubtful

Simmons (back/calf) has been downgraded to doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Pistons, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Simmons had missed the Nets' previous three games with left calf soreness and lower back injury management, but only the latter issue is cited on the team's latest injury report. Assuming Simmons ends up being ruled out Wednesday, the Nets could be shorthanded, as eight other players are already ruled out with injuries and another (center Day'Ron Sharpe) is listed as questionable with an illness.
