Simmons (back) ended with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 FT), six assists, two rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 104-83 win over the Hornets.
Back in action after missing the last five games -- first due to an illness, then due to a left lower back nerve impingement -- Simmons was deployed off the bench after starting in each of his last 11 appearances. Although Simmons has avoided any long-term absences this season, he's still received frequent maintenance while suiting up in only 31 of the Nets' 48 games to date. Simmons has been an asset in the assists (7.1 per game) and rebounds (5.2 per game) categories when available, but his steals (0.8 per game) are well down from his prime seasons with the 76ers.
