Nets' Blake Griffin: Shows up with 17 points

Griffin registered 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Tuesday's 121-111 loss to the Suns.

One would expect a more significant contribution from Griffin amid Kevin Durant's absence, but his excellent effort Tuesday marked only his second double-digit scoring performance over his past 12 games. The interior needs Griffin's help, and while Kessler Edwards is doing his best to absorb Durant's usage, the team needs all the help it can get in the scoring column.
