Payton (abdomen) is out for Sunday's contest against Toronto, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
After starting the day probably, the improved guard out of Oregon State eventually was ruled out for the Warriors. Payton's absence likely means more opportunities for the likes of Jordan Poole, Damion Lee and Moses Moody. The 28-year-old's next chance to return to the court comes Wednesday against the 76ers.
