Beagle (hand) won't play Wednesday, but he could be ready to return Friday against the Wild or Sunday at the Blackhawks, Chuck Gormley of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.
Beagle, who went under the knife for surgery at the beginning of January, sported a normal jersey in practice Tuesday, indicating that he's now advanced to the stage of being able to receive contact. He could be eased back into the lineup once deemed ready for game action, and it's possible his role may have changed with the acquisition of Mike Richards during his absence, but Beagle should provide help defensively and on the faceoff circle upon returning.
