Noah Rod: Hits unconditional waivers

Rod was placed on unconditional waivers Tuesday for the purpose of terminating his contract, Chris Johnston of SportsNet reports.

Rod signed an entry-level contract with the Sharks last season after a stint in Switzerland's National League A. If Rod clears waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent.
