Royals outfielder Alex Gordon had a big offensive game Wednesday during an extra-inning, 4-3 win over the Braves. Gordon went 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Gordon broke a drought of 159 at-bats without homering when he went deep in the first inning off starter Mike Minor to lead off the game for the Royals. It was his seventh homer of the year. He wasn't done, however, as he added a walk-off single to shallow left field in the 10th inning.
Gordon has 40 RBI on the year to go with a .293 average. He's hit in three straight games and has gone 6 for 13 over that span with four RBI.
