Pirates outfield prospect Austin Meadows made his season debut Monday in the Gulf Coast League, going 2 for 2 with two doubles, a walk and an RBI, MLB.com reports.
Meadows, the No. 9 overall pick in the 2013 draft, suffered a hamstring injury in spring training and had to deal with a setback during rehab, keeping him sidelined for the first three months of 2014. He is expected to eventually progress to Class A West Virginia.
