The Blue Jays have claimed pitcher Tyson Brummett from the Phillies, Shi Davidi of SportsNet reported Thursday.

Brummett, 28, appeared in 34 games (seven starts) for Triple-A Lehigh Valley and recorded a 3.62 ERA and a 2.4 K/BB. He made his major-league debut with Philadelphia on the regular season's final day as the Phillies faced a pitcher shortage because of injuries. Brummett struck out two and allowed two hits.

With the claim, the Blue Jays have a full 40-man roster with six players also on the 60-day DL. By rule, the team must make spots available for those players on the disabled list by Nov. 20 or remove them from the 40-man roster.
