Darwin Barney homers in loss

Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney hit his third home run of the season in his team's 5-2 loss to the Cardinals Monday night.

It was Barney's first home run of June after hitting one home run apiece in April and May, and he extended his hitting streak to six games with the 1-for-4 performance. Barney has hit .214 in 196 at-bats.
