The Blue Jays could be preparing to give second baseman Emilio Bonifacio time in the outfield this year.

"I anticipate he (Bonifacio) will get some action in the outfield as well...if we want to give Colby (Rasmus) a night off for instance against a lefty we could put him in center," manager John Gibbons told the Toronto Sun Thursday.

Bonifacio has played every inning of the Blue Jays' first three games at second base while potential platoon partner Maicer Izturis fills in for the injured Brett Lawrie at third.
