As expected, Giants starting pitcher Jake Peavy was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list Friday to start against the Nationals. To clear a spot on the roster and in the rotation, Tim Hudson went on the disabled list due to a shoulder injury.
The right-hander had a very lengthy rehab assignment. He went 0-3 with a 5.55 ERA in seven starts between Class A and Triple-A.
