Cardinals pitcher John Lackey was lit up in Saturday's loss, surrendering nine earned runs on 13 hits and two walks in five-plus innings and striking out three in his team's 10-3 defeat against the Orioles.
Lackey (12-8) served up three home runs with the loss, and the damage could have been more extensive if not for putting out a fire in the sixth after Lackey gave up three straight singles to open the inning. He owns a 3.98 ERA and 123:34 K:BB ratio in 149 1/3 innings. Lackey is scheduled to face the Padres Thursday.
