Red Sox pitcher John Lackey earned a win Wednesday, giving up just one earned run on seven hits in eight innings while striking out 11 and walking none in his team's 5-1 win over the Yankees.
Lackey (3-2) threw 84 strikes in his 111 pitches, and the only run the Yankees were able to scratch out was on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. He owns a 4.22 ERA and 34:7 K:BB ratio in 32 innings. Lackey's next opponent will be the Rays at home Tuesday.
