Tennessee pitcher Ben Joyce may be the most dominant pitcher in all of college baseball. He proved why on Sunday when the hurler threw a 104 mph fastball in a game against Eastern Kentucky.

Joyce had a sequence in which he hit 102, 103 and 104 mph against Eastern Kentucky and just overmatched hitters. Oh, and that sequence also included a 91 mph changeup.

Take a look:

Joyce's fastball has been captivating baseball fans across the country as he records eye-popping numbers on the radar gun. He's even been nicknamed the "Volunteer Fireman," which makes sense considering that he plays for the Volunteers.

Through the 2022 season, Joyce has a 0.00 ERA and 10 strikeouts in nine appearances for Tennessee.

Major League Baseball pitchers hit 100 mph semi-regulary, but that's still not a very common occurrence. The last time that an MLB pitcher hit 104 mph, though, came back in 2019 courtesy of St. Louis Cardinals reliever Jordan Hicks (Hicks did it on multiple occasions during the 2019 season).

As should come as no surprise, Joyce has seen his MLB draft stock improve. The junior pitcher is coming off of Tommy John surgery in October 2020 and clearly hasn't missed a beat since returning to the mound.
