Marco Scutaro undergoes diagnostic nerve block procedure

Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro underwent a diagnostic nerve block procedure Tuesday, the Mercury News reports.

Scutaro is expected to open the season on the disabled list as he tries to overcome his back issues. He hit .297/.357/.369 in 488 at-bats last season.
