Yankees closer Mariano Rivera recorded a save on a night when everyone in the majors was wearing his jersey number. Rivera shut down the Diamondbacks in the ninth Tuesday for his third save.
Rivera, the only major league player still wearing No. 42, earned the save on Jackie Robinson Day around the majors. He went 1-2-3 in the ninth to secure a 4-2 win. Rivera struck out a batter over 13 pitches and his ERA is 2.25. He's given up just one run over his first four innings.
