Dodgers second baseman Mark Ellis remained out of the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Diamondbacks as he continued to deal with a strained right quad. He has not played since April 26 and is a candidate for the disabled list.
Ellis is batting .342 with two homers and 11 RBI in 73 at-bats.
