Rangers minor-league pitcher Randy Wells retired Tuesday, Fox Sports Southwest reports. The 30-year-old Wells was pitching with Triple-A Round Rock. 

Wells was 0-4 this year over five starts with a 6.08 ERA. He made 12 appearances for the Cubs last year with a 5.34 ERA. Wells finishes his career with a 4.08 ERA. He won a career-high 12 games in 2009 for the Cubs.
