Reds right fielder Jay Bruce had quite a night at the plate in Wednesday's extra-innings win over the Tigers. Bruce had five hits, including two doubles, in six at-bats and scored two runs in the 8-4 victory.
Bruce became the first Reds player to have five hits in a game since Willy Tavares in 2009. The five-hit performance upped his season batting average from .215 to .232, as he has now recorded seven hits in his last two games.
