Rays starting pitcher Roberto Hernandez dropped his second decision in a row Friday, in a 6-2 loss to the Yankees.
Hernandez was hit hard in the outing, surrendering five runs on nine hits, including a home run. The Yankees managed just one extra-base hit off him otherwise, but strung together hits long enough to put together some rallies.
Hernandez struck out four batters and walked none, while throwing 69 of 93 pitches for strikes. He is now 4-8 with a 5.14 ERA on the season, heading into his next start, scheduled for Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
