The Tigers had interest in bringing back infielder Don Kelly this offseason, according to mlive.com.

"We would've loved to bring him back," general manager Dave Dombrowski said. The club reportedly offered Kelly a minor-league deal, but he declined the offer in order to sign with Miami. "He thought his opportunity to make a major-league club was better with Miami than it was here this year," Dombrowski added.

Kelly hit .245/.332/.288 over 163 at-bats with Detroit last year.
