Braves infielder Tyler Pastornicky has been cleared to begin fielding ground balls, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Pastornicky will likely miss the first 10-12 spring-training games but could be ready for the beginning of the regular season if all goes well with his recovery from ACL surgery. He played in just 20 games with the Braves last season, going 9 for 30 at the plate.
