The Royals were down 3-0 to the White Sox as late as the seventh inning on Monday night, but they rallied back to win the game 4-3 on Lorenzo Cain's walk-off single (box score). The win allowed them to keep pace with the Tigers in the AL Central and remain 1.5 games back.

The walk-off single was no ordinary single though. It was an infield single and pinch-runner Terrance Gore managed to score from second base. Yes, he scored from second on an infield single. To the video footage:

Terrance Gore is: not slow. In fact, he was called up when rosters expanded on September 1 just to serve as a pinch-running specialist. He certainly did his job on Monday.

It's worth noting the Royals tied the game earlier in the ninth inning when pinch-runner Jarrod Dyson stole third base and scored on a wild pitch. Kansas City won a key game because of some top notch pinch-running ability.
