It's a short video, shot from far away and vertically -- making it hard to see who's who or what's what -- but those are minor negatives. During batting practice at Wrigley Field on their off day before Game 3 of the NLCS, the Cubs appeared loose and carefree, despite being down 0-2 to the Mets in the best-of-seven series.

What are we seeing? It appears to be Javier Baez playing hacky sack with a baseball before he dances away, grabs a bat flipped his way by a teammate, and pirouettes into the batter's box for, hopefully, some bunting because there are too many guys standing too close to the cage for full swings.

Check it out, though you'll probably have to watch a few times.

Teammates, including Kyle Schwarber , Tommy La Stella and Jason Hammel, seem transfixed on Baez's fancy footwork. You wish the video could continue for longer. And was shot horizontally. And closer to the action. But when you're between ballgames, it's kind of an informal deal at the ballpark for everyone. Take what you can get. Still, it's easy to see Baez's dexterity. Apparently, he's a talented dude, as Cubs reporter Tony Andracki noted:

Is there any video of that? No, apparently. See how lucky we are for eight seconds of Baez hacky sack?
