Brewers pitcher Wei-Chung Wang began a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona League affiliate Sunday, giving up one hit and striking out one in 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

Wang was placed on the disabled list in early July due to a shoulder issue. While he's struggled in 13 relief appearances with the team, posting an 11.12 ERA in 17 innings, the Brewers plan to stretch him out as a starter during his rehab assignment.
