The Yankees optioned RHP Branden Pinder to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, the team announced on Sunday. Pinder had a 2.16 ERA in six appearances.
To replace him on the roster, the Yankees called up reliever Jacob Lindgren , who was 1-1 with three saves and a 1.23 ERA in Triple-A.
The Yankees also transferred shortstop Brendan Ryan to the 60-day disabled list. Ryan was on the 15-day DL, with a calf injury.
