Greinke, 29, suffered the injury on Thursday night during a benches-clearing brawl with the San Diego Padres. Outfielder Carlos Quentin charged the mound following a hit-by-pitch, and the two collided shoulder-to-shoulder. Both players were ejected from the game, and no suspensions have been handed out yet. Quentin is in Friday's lineup against the Rockies.
CBSSports.com's Danny Knobler hears the Dodgers will activate left-hander Ted Lilly off the DL and plug him into Greinke's rotation spot. Lilly has been dealing with a shoulder issue. Lefty Chris Capuano will remain in the bullpen. Right-hander Aaron Harang was traded a few days ago.
Greinke is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in two starts this season. Los Angeles signed him to a six-year, $147 million contract this offseason.
