Reds' Carlos Triunfel: Signs minors deal with Reds
Triunfel inked a minor league contract with the Reds on Friday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Triunfel spent the entirety of the 2015 season at the Triple-A level in the Giants organization with Brandon Crawford presenting a road block in front of him at shortstop. Although the Reds have some nice pieces in the infield as well, there's still a better chance for the 25-year-old to crack the big league roster with his new club than in years past. Even if that's the case, Triunfel doesn't present much upside offensively, limiting his potential fantasy value.
