Dodgers' Tyler Holt: Heads to Dodgers on minor league deal
Holt signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Holt spent the entire 2016 season in the big leagues with Cincinnati, although he was outrighted upon the season's conclusion after batting .235 in his limited opportunities. Between this and the more established options the Dodgers have in place across the outfield, the 27-year-old seems destined for an organizational depth role.

Holt was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
Holt made it through waivers unclaimed, and he'll now head into the offseason off the major league roster. The 27-year-old appeared in 106 contests this year, but he hit just .235 and didn't get a plate appearance over the final 11 games of the season, so it's unclear what the interest will be when he hits free agency following the conclusion of the World Series.

Reds' Tyler Holt: Three hits and thee RBI in Sunday's win
Holt went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, a run scored and three RBI in Sunday's win over the Pirates.
It was an impressive showing out of the leadoff spot for Holt, but it was also his first multi-hit game since early June. Even with Billy Hamilton (oblique) sidelined, Holt may need to string together a couple more solid performances before he begins seeing regular playing time.
