Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Making Brewers debut March 30
Harrison (finger) is slated to make his Brewers debut March 30 against the Rays, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Harrison had to depart his last Cactus League outing due to a blister on his left index finger, but it will not keep him from making a start during the Brewers' first turn through their rotation. Acquired from the Red Sox this offseason in the Caleb Durbin trade, Harrison permitted 12 runs (eight earned) in 9.2 innings this spring but had an encouraging 15:3 K:BB.

Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Poised to avoid IL
Harrison (finger) completed a bullpen session Saturday and is expected to be included on the Brewers' Opening Day roster, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Harrison exited his final Cactus League start Wednesday after developing a blister on his left index finger, but his ability to throw off a mound just a few days later puts him on track to avoid a stint on the injured list to begin the season. Milwaukee hasn't yet indicated if Harrison will pitch in either of the team's final two exhibition games Monday and Tuesday versus the Reds, but assuming the finger didn't present any issues for him during his recent bullpen session, the southpaw should be ready to make his first turn through the Milwaukee rotation once the regular season gets underway. The Brewers are still deciding where to slot Harrison in the pitching order based on the status of Brandon Woodruff (lat), who has been built up slowly during the spring but is also trending toward being included in the season-opening rotation.

Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Leaves game with blister
Harrison was removed during the third inning of Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Angels due to a blister on his left index finger, Sophia Minnaert of FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin reports.
Harrison tossed 59 pitches across 2.2 frames and allowed four runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out three before being removed from Wednesday's contest. Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters that the blister is something Harrison has been dealing with, so the issue doesn't appear to be one that would put the 24-year-old southpaw in jeopardy of missing Opening Day, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Hits high note again
Harrison allowed one earned run over 3.0 innings in Sunday's spring game against the Mariners. He gave up two hits, struck out eight batters and walked two.
Harrison shined while tossing three frames in an exhibition matchup against the British national team last week, and he did the same Sunday in his first official appearance of the spring. Over the two outings Harrison allowed just one earned run and posted a 10:3 K:BB, so he is making a strong case to break camp with a spot in the big-league rotation.

Harrison tossed 3.0 scoreless innings in Tuesday's exhibition game against the British national team. He gave up two hits, struck out two and walked one.
Harrison was acquired from the Red Sox less than a month ago, and he got into his first game with the Brewers on Tuesday. The results were exceptional, thanks in part to the addition of a changeup to his arsenal, as noted by Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Harrison has had mixed results at the big-league level, but he is a former top prospect who has tossed 194.2 innings in the majors and owns a career K/9 of 8.8. It's unclear exactly how Milwaukee's rotation will shake out, but Harrison -- just 24 years old -- is firmly in the mix for a spot.

Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Sent to Milwaukee in trade
The Brewers acquired Harrison, David Hamilton and Shane Drohan from the Red Sox on Monday in exchange for Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, Anthony Seigler and a Comp B pick, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
After being sent from the Giants to the Red Sox in last year's Rafael Devers trade, Harrison is on the move again. The left-hander made six starts and five relief appearances between the Giants and Red Sox last season, posting a 4.04 ERA and 38:14 K:BB across 35.2 innings. The Brewers have garnered a reputation for getting the most out of pitchers in recent years, and Harrison gives them some ability to work with. He will be among a host of competitors for one of the final spots in Milwaukee's rotation.

The Red Sox southpaw struggled out the gate, as he escaped a scoreless first inning in which he conceded two walks and a hit. The Detroit lineup finally broke through against Harrison in the fourth, when the first five batters reached, plating three runs. Given that the 24-year-old tossed 65 pitches in this appearance, he likely wraps his regular season with a 4.04 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB across 35.2 total frames with Boston and San Francisco.

Harrison is slated to start Friday's game against the Tigers in Boston.
Harrison stepped in as Boston's fifth starter last weekend at Tampa Bay and aced the test, striking out five while allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks across six innings in a no-decision. The southpaw will be rewarded with another turn through the rotation Friday, and another strong showing could help his case for earning a spot on Boston's postseason roster, should the Red Sox clinch a playoff spot.

Saturday was Harrison's first start with the Red Sox since being acquired from San Francisco as part of the Rafael Devers trade, and it couldn't have gone much better. It was the southpaw's first quality start of the season, and he also generated 11 swinging strikes. Harrison has been effective when healthy in 2025, posting a 3.58 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB over 32.2 innings, and Boston figures to give him one more look in its rotation during the regular season next weekend against Detroit.

Red Sox's Kyle Harrison: In line to start Saturday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that Harrison will start Saturday's game against the Rays in Tampa, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Harrison will move into the rotation as a replacement for rookie lefty Payton Tolle, whom Cora said would be used in the bullpen for the remainder of the season. After getting called up from Triple-A Worcester last week, Harrison made his Red Sox debut out of the bullpen Sept. 10 in Sacramento, striking out two over three scoreless innings. Though he had been serving in a starting role for Worcester, Harrison hadn't covered five frames in an outing since Aug. 19, so the Red Sox may not be counting on the lefty working deep into his start Saturday.

Harrison allowed three hits, hit a batter and struck out two over three scoreless relief innings in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Athletics.
Harrison pitched the final three innings in a piggyback outing that was started by Payton Tolle (two innings). Harrison isn't fully built up after a series of stops and starts over the last couple of weeks that included an ankle injury. He could be a factor later in September, as he unlikely has the same innings limits of rookies Tolle and Connelly Early.
