Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Throwing from 120 feet
Jobe (elbow) is scheduled to play catch out to 120 feet three times this week, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Jobe continues to slowly ramp up his throwing program, as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. There's a chance Jobe could pitch toward the end of the 2026 season, but it also wouldn't be surprising to see the Tigers keep Jobe shelved until spring training next year.

Jobe (elbow) is scheduled to play catch out to 105 feet three times this week, MLB.com reports.
Jobe was previously capped at throwing from 90 feet three times per week, so this is a small step, but he still has a long way to go in his recovery from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last June. The 23-year-old righty might be able to return near the end of the 2026 regular season, though it wouldn't be surprising if the Tigers play things safe and keep Jobe on the shelf until 2027.

Jobe (elbow) is scheduled to play catch out to 90 feet three times during the upcoming week, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
The right-hander has avoided any setbacks since undergoing Tommy John surgery June 16, but Jobe is still in the early stages of his rehab program. He's already been placed on the 60-day injured list and isn't being counted on to contribute until September, if he pitches this season at all.

Jobe underwent Tommy John surgery in June and will officially open the 2026 season on the injured list while he continues his recovery. Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris said Monday that the team is hopeful Jobe (elbow) will be ready to pitch in games by September, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Jobe underwent Tommy John surgery in June. Prepping for game action late in the 2026 regular season is a reasonable goal, but it's likely Jobe will not be a significant contributor to the Tigers again until 2027.

The Tigers transferred Jobe (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.
Jobe is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season, so the Tigers will move him to the 60-day IL to clear a 40-man spot for Matt Gage, who was selected from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.
