Cleveland Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum, who missed all of last season for Philadelphia with knee problems, played in his first game in 17 months Wednesday night in the season opener against Brooklyn. Bynum debuted for the home crowd and played eight minutes in the 98-94 win.

Bynum was just 1 for 5 from the field as he was a little rusty in his return to an NBA court. He grabbed three rebounds, added two assists and swatted two big shots for the Cavs in limited minutes. Bynum scored three points and Cleveland was plus-8 with him in the game.
