Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony set a new Madison Square Garden record by scoring a career-high 62 points on 23 of 35 shooting, including 6 of 11 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 125-96 win over the Bobcats Friday.

Anthony was removed from the game with the Knicks up big after he broke the record, and he blew by his previous career-high of 50 points thanks to a 37-point performance in the first half alone. He also racked up 13 rebounds in 39 minutes of action but recorded zero assists in the prolific scoring performance. Anthony has averaged 27.0 points and 9.1 rebounds over 40 games played.
