The NBA released a new ad spot Thursday in conjunction with LeanIn.org, a nonprofit effort to promote gender equality both culturally and in the workplace. The ad features Chris Bosh, Draymond Green and Gordon Hayward along with San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon, discussing the various ways that men can support the women at home and in the workplace.

It's pretty great.

Hammon's message regarding her relationship with Gregg Popovich is particularly interesting and insightful, in regards to how Popovich never made her gender an issue for her inclusion with the team.

The fact that this comes from the Spurs, who tend to decline any and all opportunities for self-promotion, with Popovich the least-forthcoming coach in the league, gives it some gravity and shows how seriously both the Spurs and the league take these issues.
