Stan Van Gundy will be interviewed for the Golden State Warriors' vacant head-coaching position in the near future, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein:
Hearing Stan Van Gundy's first formal Warriors interview is "imminent." ESPN reported Saturday that SVG is "closest thing" to GSW top target

Golden State reportedly thinks Steve Kerr is headed to the New York Knicks, and Warriors owner Joe Lacob, who is close to Kerr, is becoming a Van Gundy supporter, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski:
Warriors haven't had serious talks w/ Kerr in days, w/ owner Joe Lacob rapidly joining management in believing Stan Van Gundy's best choice.

Van Gundy isn't the only one on Golden State's list — the team is expected to inquire about Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau's availability and interview Lionel Hollins this week at the draft combine — but it does sound like he is at the top of the list. Van Gundy was a world-class head coach with the Orlando Magic, and it'd be interesting to see what he could do with the talented Warriors.
